About Father Mike
Father Mike (he/him) is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Bethlehem. At 32, he is the youngest cleric in the diocese. He is also the most diverse cleric, belonging to the Black, Hispanic, and Queer Communities. Father Mike is currently serving as an associate priest in Easton, Pennsylvania as well as a hospital chaplain in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Specific Interests
Father Mike is working to bridge the divide between the Queer community and the Church and to introduce Millennials and Zoomers to the Church. He is also interested in using the Church to meet communities’ educational needs, and address issues of poverty and inequality as Jesus intended (Matthew 25:31-40). A Doctor of Ministry student, his dissertation will focus on increasing Church missional work in service to men amidst a crisis for men in the areas of social and romantic relationships, education, and career paths. Father Mike is also an accomplished musician who plans to use his musical gifts for the benefit of the Church as he settles into his new ministry.
Personally, Father Mike is a foodie who enjoys gastronomy, food and culture intersections, alternative livestock and exotic meat production, cidermaking, and enology. Father Mike is also a collector of vintage appliances and fashion accessories including handbags and walking sticks.
